Strawberry Fields Forever

Jack and I had a free morning yesterday, so we decided to drive out to an orchard and pick strawberries.

The drive was about 35 minutes. We went in the building and they weighed our bucket, so that we would know exactly how many pounds of strawberries we picked. Then they let you drive up to the fields. I was surprised how many strawberries they had. I thought we would have to scrounge around.

This was just one of their fields. They had soooo many strawberries. It was epic. Jack was very good at picking strawberries. He kept saying, "no pink, no green, just red strawberries." (We had a discussion to begin with about how we are only supposed to pick the red ones and he caught on very quickly.) We ended up with just under 6 pounds of strawberries. (we have already consumed half).

They seriously taste like candy. They are so good! The farm will have blueberries starting next week, so we may end up going back :)

  1. Hi - you made me hungry just thinking of ripe, juicy strawberries. Wish I could have been there! Love, Grandma Lewis
