We haven't updated here much the last few weeks but I promise it's because there was not much to report. Tony's blood counts have come slowly back up. We're still waiting on the red counts to reach normal range, but he is feeling a lot better. Because of this, we have gotten permission from his doctors to head to Florida for 2 weeks before he starts his next batch of maintenance chemo on May 23rd. Tony had his picc line removed today in preparation for our trip.
We had several Florida vacations planned for this year back when we thought we'd still be living in Maryland (all our tickets were already purchased), so we kind of smooshed it all into one 2 week trip. We will be going to Sea World, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens and then ending the trip with a 7 night Disney cruise (that we have had to reschedule 6 times now). It will be our last trip before Tony's transplant. Thank you to all those who helped make this trip possible! After that we will have to hunker down for 6-9 months while he recovers.
In other news, we closed on our house in Maryland officially yesterday. A wonderful family bought it and we are excited for them to be able to enjoy the home. But we are also devastated to see it go.
