We got to celebrate Tony's New birthday today. He is already one year old!
It has been one year since Tony's bone marrow transplant (he had it on 12/12/12). We finally got together with some friends to celebrate. We decided to be ironic and eat funeral potatoes and angel food cake :)
We are so happy that Tony was able to beat Cancer and we are especially grateful to the man from Germany who so selflessly donated the bone marrow to Tony. It has been a heck of a year of recovery for Tony, but he has gained a bit of his strength back and we are beginning to feel normal again. We are so grateful to all of the friends and family that have helped us through. We are definitely a blessed bunch.
Happy Birthday to Tony!! It's been a tough year, and a blessed year as well for someone we didn't knw being willing to help Tony. I love you, Grandma Lewis
