Snow Snow Snow

So we got hit by a decent snow storm last night. We got about a foot of snow and the whole state pretty much shut down. Schools, government, etc... Tony has still had to work from home, but he was able to go outside with Jack and I for a short moment. 

Jack loved the process of getting dressed in snow clothes. He knows the names of all of the pieces: hat, gloves, pants... He kept saying "snow" all excited like. 

And then we got out there, and just to prove that he is definitely my boy, he decided pretty quickly that snow is just not his thing. He kept saying "up."

We were able to build a snowman and he helped me pat some extra snow into its side to even it out. But then he was officially done. 

Mom I just wanna go back inside!

And this is the first thing he did after we stripped all of his snow clothes off. Warming up in front of the fire. 

Tony started to shovel the driveway, but it is pretty heavy snow and a ridiculously long driveway, so we decided to maybe wait a bit. It's supposed to warm up relatively soon. Our car is parked in the car port, which I am standing in to take this picture.

Gangsta Jack

Jack is getting into the "do everything myself" stage. He wants to put his own shoes on, and zip up his coat, and put his hat on. He also loves to buckle himself into his car seat. He has a hard time putting he hat on the right way I guess, cause he always puts it on backwards. Either that, or he is trying to be cool. Haha. 

Tony was building with Jack. It soon turned into Daddy building while Jack moved on to other things. Tony built a house and a "mario flag" and a teeter totter and a slide. Pretty impressive right?

Loving the New Place

For those of you that don't know, we recently moved to a new apartment. It is a basement apartment that is closer to a metro, the bike trail and the middle school where I help with the Musical. We absolutely love it and Jack acclimated fast. He loves his new bedroom. (As you can see his window is covered in a blanket right now. We will get the blinds and curtains up soon). We will post pictures of the whole place soon.

Jack's new jumping technic is to go stiff as a board and just fall straight forward. Not sure how well you can tell, but he is already starting to fall in this picture. 

These other two pictures are just to show you that he is growing up so fast. Look at that face! He isn't a baby anymore. He is already a little man. 

Also, here is a fact that some of you will appreciate. I always pick out Jack's pants, but then I give him an option of what shirt he wants to wear. 9 out of 10 times he will pick the one with skulls on it. It's in the genes, I am telling you. (Although he thinks skulls are monkeys and usually says "ooh ooh aah aah") And I also manned up and finally gave Jack a haircut. It is far from perfect, but I would say not too bad for trying to pin down a toddler. 

Previous Trips

I got some pictures from a friend from our tubing trip this summer. It was Tony's first outing as he started getting better. It was a blast. We went up by Harper's Ferry where Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland meet. 

It was a hot day and it made the water a perfect bath water temperature. It was wonderful. 

Jack was exhausted and fell asleep on the first trip down while riding in Tony's lap. 

After a few runs down the river, we stopped for lunch along the trail.

And Dallin was a trooper and carried Jack back up to the start of our trail.

And he was so tuckered out, he fell asleep almost instantly after we climbed back into the car. 

We also got a picture from our trip to Philly. So here is a picture of us eating official Philly Cheese Steaks. 

The Selfie Train

Jack and I jumped on the Selfie Train today. I have never been one for selfies, but Jack was showing a special interest in the camera today and wanted to keep taking pictures. So here you go, it is me and Jack and a whole lot of selfies.

Getting Braver

Jack is getting braver and braver. He jumps from higher now to land on our giant bean bag.

Spaghetti Man

I know for a fact that we will seriously miss this age of cuddling Jack. He won't be this tiny size forever. Right before bed is the only time he lets us hold him like this though, so we cherish the moment. 

One of Jack's new favorite words is Pasta. It is a recent discovery for him because we haven't been doing pasta very much in the last 6 months. But because we are moving soon and are going through our pantry, we are using up all the boxes of noodles we are finding. Today, he discovered spaghetti. 

And as you can see, he enjoyed it quite a bit.
