Last Meal

Tony checks into the hospital on Monday to begin preparations for his bone marrow transplant. We learned today that his donor is a 19 year old male from Germany. We will be unable to contact him for 2 years due to regulations. Anyway, Tony requested that his last restaurant meal pre-transplant be Famous Dave's. (After his transplant he won't be able to eat out for about a year). So Emily was super super nice and watched Jack for us so we could go get some mean ribs! We ordered a full rack and actually finished them. We were quite proud of ourselves.

We looked at the BBQ sauce container when we were finished and it kind of grossed us out because we had eaten like a half cup of BBQ sauce. Wow....just wow.

Botanical Gardens Trains

We went to an awesome holiday train exhibition at the Botanical Gardens. They make all the decorations out of plants. It is supposed to be fairy housing. It was so awesome!

This was a cool building that had a dragon on the top. And there was also a mermaid and waterfalls.

Jack had a lot of fun looking at all the cool trains and decorations.

Jack's favorite train.

Having fun with dad.

The fairy castle.

Thank you Emily for telling us about this awesome exhibition.

This is the capitol building made out of plants. And this is the real capitol building.

Peeking out from Daddy's coat.

Pedicures!

All the Roring women went and got manicures and pedicures. It was pretty fun. I opted out of the pedicure due to a broken toe, but I still got an awesome manicure.

Broken Toe

I stubbed my toe really bad while at the Rorings. At first I thought maybe it was just a super painful stubbing, but then this beautiful bruise showed up, and I had second thoughts. Haha. Plus, I could barely walk. So awesome Dr. John Lee Roring took an xray for me and it is definitely broken.

Pretty sweet, huh!

Roring Thanksgiving

Mama Roring hosted 30 people for Thanksgiving. Go MAMA!

Dad made a pretty epic pile of potatoes. He wanted to fit them all in one bowl.

One of the kids tables. They are so fun.

We had olives that were enormous. I never thought I would be able to fit olives on my fingers again. I thought it would have to linger as a childhood memory. But alas, all we needed were Roring olives!

We all had a lot of fun on the trampoline. Jack loves jumping and all the grandkids absolutely love Tony. He is the coolest uncle ever!

Some of the Thanksgiving crowd played Ultimate Frisbee. It looked like a fun game. A lot of tall men in that crowd.

Tony and Jess played soccer with some of the kids. They were pretty good. They could probably all       beat me. Haha.

Timmy and Jack actually look like they could be brothers. They both have perfectly round heads, blue eyes, and blonde hair. They were good friends.

Christmas at the Rorings

We did an awesome nativity scene. Unfortunately, Tony was sick so he wasn't up for too much Christmas-ing, but he is doing much better now. In our nativity scene Tony was one of the wise men and Jack was the gold. I was the innkeeper.

Jack picked up on the whole unwrapping presents really quickly. He loved it.

Grandma Roring got Jacko a frog webkins. He sure loves his froggy.

Here are the wee ones in front of the Christmas tree. Jack is 8 months old. Melodee is 4 months old and Maren is 2 months old. It was fun having so many little ones together.

Fun at the Rorings

Kirsten was so great. She loved playing with Jack.

Jack figured out how to climb the stairs. We had to practice coming back down the stairs properly...I think it is still a work in progress.

Roring Family Pictures

We have the coolest family! We did Hawaiian themed and soccer themed pictures. It was so fun!!!!!!

Family Pictures!!!

Lewis Family Pictures

We took some really fun family pictures. Red and Black is the way to go!
(Random Fact: Jason, Ariel and I all had red and black wedding receptions. Pretty sweet, right).
